Viking International School is an international community of learners, families, and educators. As such, we collaborate with local and international partners to help our work in educating the whole person with robust academics balanced with a strong focus on student wellbeing and mental health, sustainability, and STEM.
We pride ourselves on the community that we have all jointly created where children feel safe, happy, and challenged. Our learners are excited to ask questions, experiment, and find answers in our inquiry-based learning classrooms. We explore the world through units of work that allow us to dive deeply into subject matter and carry out our own research to find answers.

Academics
At VIS we use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) combined with the Danish National Curriculum to create an environment that is child centered and rich in learning opportunities. Read more

Our care programs for hours outside of the school day are known as clubs because we foster a sense of community with the children that join. Read more

Student Wellbeing
Corona taught us that prioritizing mental and emotional health is absolutely essential. VIS has created a weekly class for all students that teaches them how to form relationships, understand their own emotions and learn strategies for emotions and communication. We have two therapy dogs that focus on supporting our students and are always available for a cuddle or to hear a good book.
